Woven by the Aït Bou Ichaouen Tribe, Talsint rugs are named for the largest town in the area where this Berber nomadic tribe comes from. Ait Bou Ichaouen weavings are unlike those found in other parts of Morocco. Living in an isolated area unknown to the carpet world until the late 1990s, the weavers make bold use of colors arranged in striking designs. Many of their designs and techniques have not been identified elsewhere in Morocco. This Moroccan rug is handwoven in vibrant colored silky medium pile wool with stunning abstract tribal design. Measurement does not include fringe.
